Lift Foils & Delta-Q Case Study:

Sports and recreation have long been areas where innovation has improved everyday life, and a perfect example is the development of the first-ever electric hydrofoil surfboard by Lift Foils.

This case study talks about the partnership between Delta-Q and Lift Foils and how they collaborated to create a battery-powered surfboard, the eFoil. Delta-Q's chargers provide these innovative surfboards with a tough, reliable battery charging solution without sacrificing efficiency, so surfers can safely navigate any body of water.

Delta-Q is ready to take on any challenges, whether that is tough design requirements, challenging environments, or even supply chain difficulties.

Your Electric Partners

Lift Foils is a family-run business making performance hydrofoils in Puerto Rico since 2010In 2015, their co-founder Nick Leason came up with the idea for the original eFoil, applying the technology from smart phones, electric vehicles and even drones into a board that would let its rider fly above any body of water without needing to be propelled by wind or waves.

Delta-Q Technologies delivers innovative battery charging solutions to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of electric vehicles and industrial equipment using a unique blend of engineering capability in high efficiency power electronics and embedded software design.

"Our battery pack—specifically the BMS— has a lot of very unique electrical demands, and Delta-Q’s line of chargers meet our product’s needs and do so safely. [Their] engineering team worked with our new battery supplier to see if we can use a smaller battery charger. [The Delta-Q] team is very open and responsive to all of our requests and have been very supportive"
